Founder, V.A.S.E.N TTSS
Hi, I’m Tricia Charles, the founder of V.A.S.E.N Consulting. With over 20 years of experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), I am dedicated to helping parents, young people, and schools navigate the complexities of the UK SEND system.
I hold a Master’s in Education and Psychology from UCL, and I’m a qualified Learning Support Teacher and SENCo. Over the years, I have worked in London and internationally, leading whole-school SEND provisions and implementing UK SEND legislation. My experience also includes working as a Local Authority Advisory Teacher and EHCP Assessment Officer, where I developed an in-depth understanding of EHCPs, SEND legislation and procedures, and advocacy.
I founded V.A.S.E.N to provide independent, expert support to parents and professionals—ensuring that every child gets the help they need to thrive.
My qualifications and experience allow me to provide specialized, high-quality services in SEN. With my 20+ years of SEN practice across various roles (teaching, managing SEND provision, and providing advisory services), I have a comprehensive understanding of how to support learners with SEN at every stage of their journey.
I’ve worked with a variety of educational systems and cultures, helping schools and families create inclusive environments where learners with SEN can thrive. My experience as a SENCo and Learning Support Centre Head allows me to offer practical solutions, whether it’s adapting curriculum, designing support programs, or navigating the often-complex world of SEN
